Income Tax Appeals

As a 1973 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law, I have concentrated my practice in IRS and IDOR (Illinois Department of Revenue) examination and Appeals including numerous US Tax Court cases on behalf of individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts. My tax experience spans forty-two years representing individuals and S&P 500 corporations with large international operations. My current clients include food manufacturers, law firms, automobile insurance brokers, outdoor advertising sign business, real estate agents, computer resellers, talent agents, toxic materials consultants, software programmers, printers, pet store operators, aquarium service business, organic fertilizer company, food ingredient broker, and valet parking business.

I have extensive experience representing individuals before IRS audit division personnel in examination and appeals. For the past twenty years I have represented individuals and corporations in IRS collection division activities including appeals and work with the Special Procedure branch of the IRS.

I have assisted numerous taxpayers in filing from fifteen years to two years of delinquent federal and Illinois individual and corporate income tax returns in the course of which I dealt with IRS and IDOR special agents.

Most rewarding work has been tax planning with individuals who receive large bonuses or sold businesses and had complex tax issues confronting them.
